I think it's a little too future-y and not enough retro-y, but one thing I adore is how they added little cues to Le Mans prototypes of today. It's possible that this little tunnel-y coke bottle-ish abdomen narrowing is solely functional and no though was given to design elements, but it really reminds me of the way the LMP1 cars narrow in the back these days.

No one seems to like to snap shots of the backside of the prototypes, but my Forza experience tells me that the tiny little round bubble cockpit kind of ends like that and the channel between the rear wheel well and the center of the chassis is very reminiscent of the Detroit show car.

Now that you mention it, I think they did. Which makes sense, because I'm pretty sure those are being made mandatory equipment.

I think it's definitely interesting and it doesn't look quite like anything else. It's got some design elements that are similar to other cars, but nothing feels derivative. I think those rear wheel wells and the aero tunnels are epic and I like it more every time I see it. The overall proportions feel a little off to me, but it has presence out the beautiful ass.

it can't be the production car because it doesn't meet some requirements. The Amber side lighting for example, is missing.

I was actually really pleased they went modern instead of retro. Ford spends more time living in their past than almost any other manufacturer, so it's good to see they didn't limit themselves by just making a new GT40.
